This course is designed to enhance the construction & embroidery skill of students to help them excel in the field of Garment Construction. The Construction Lab equipped with the most modernised machines will practically prepares the students for working in large export houses.

An integral part of the curriculum is field visits to various emporia, exhibitions, export houses, etc. to widen their vision of the market trends embroidery and construction. The course enables students to work as Fashion Co-ordinators, Pattern Makers and Cutters, Quality Controllers, Production Manager etc. They can also get self-employed, opening their own Garment Manufacturing Units.

In the present ime, when we think of old times, it is seen that some of the old traditions are still in practice. In the old times, girls were taught sewing and stitching works right from their adolescent age, this tradition holds goods though in limited way even in present times. To carry on with this old tradition, training for cutting and tailoring is given. Many young people are adopting it as their career due to the ever increasing importance of fashion.

The practical training begins with drafting and making a simple child’s dress. The beneficiaries are new literates and girls with low education levels. Besides in India Tradition girls/women are expected to know tailoring to fulfill the basic stitching requirement at home. Stitching of garments at home a money saves device for lower middle class. Cutting & Tailoring can be a vocation for self employment.

Eligibility: -8th Pass or above. Age:- There is no restriction as far as age is concerned i.e. no minimum or maximum age is prescribed for admission.
